- Oh, good grief. This is REALLY a stretch.

- What the clone vendor gets is the right to install DOS and Windows on the
- disk, and the right to publish a manual. These rights don't have to take up
- storage space, tie up dollars in inventory, or anything else. They simply send
- MS a check each month or so for the number of systems they sell (or, if they
- opt for the expensive version, the number of copies they shipped). They don't
- have to wait for the components to be shipped.

- Everyone who sells physical inventory is doing it, and it is indeed a Good
- Thing.
