- Yep! There it is. Look, salt is a commodity. You can make your own (try it!).

- Operating systems - sufficiently sophisticated to compete - require years of
- training and experience to write. People who write operating systems can't be
- dug up out of the ground on demand. They must be developed over many years.
- The knowledge required to write these OSes is private, commerical information.
- You can't look it up in the library. It is no accident that the number of
- major operating system vendors is very small.
