  12. I posted this solution a bit ago, but will repeat it here.

  14. STAC Electronics has bugs in version 3.0, you should contact them for the
  15. updated disks (I think they are at verion 3.01 (or2)).
  16.  
  17. Try running CHECK /=d /f
  18.  
  19. This "undocumented" (and I quote from the STAC Elec. Co. Tech Support Line)
  20. will catch file errors that CHECK can't normally find.  
  21.  
  22. The updated disks have this fix built in so the documented 
  23. CHECK /d /f  works as it should.
