  16. That's a workaround I don't like since VGA is 640x480 ... which makes
  17. windows (and Word) pretty much useless.  If you want to go that route,
  18. at least use the 800x600 mode.  Anyway, note that this problem is only
  19. in the 256 color modes.  None of the other drivers seem to exhibit
  20. the bug.

  22. I use windows in 1024x768x256 mode.  Since I rarely change the
  23. Tools/Options in Word, this bug doesn't cause me too much trouble.
  24. My workaround is to switch to 1024x768x16 mode in windows, change
  25. the options, and assuming I want them for some time (or at least
  26. it will be some time before I change them back) I then change back
  27. to 1024x768x256 mode.  This does take a small amount of time, but
  28. since I don't do it often, it's not that big a deal.  Of course, it's
  29. still a big enough deal that I _want_ Diamond to fix the bug(s)!!  :-)

  31. I have run into some minor annoying problmes with the Diamond 16 color
  32. drivers in Word though.  When I select the beginning or end of a paragraph
  33. (and sometimes in the paragraph) with the mouse, a black box of varying
  34. width replaces the next character and stay on the screen unless I scroll
  35. of off and then back on.  In addition, the colors do note seem to look as
  36. "crisp" as they do in the 256 color mode.
