- While using WFW the following error message has appeared:
-
- General Protection Fault in module winword.exe at 00DB:063B.
-
- The program then closes and states that Dr. Watson has logged the problem.
- When I opened the drwatson.log file, it read as follows:
-
- MSWORD had a 'Exceed Segment Bounds (Read)' fault at MSWORD
- 219:063b
-
- This has happened twice over the past week. The first time I was reading
- a document file (about 5 pages long), the second time I was using File
- Find to search for a document.
-
- Could anyone offer an explanation as to why the above occured and how
- to fix it, if possible. I'm using a 386/25 clone with 2 MB memory.
-
- Also, I am having a problem with memory while using Windows. I realize
- that 2 MB is not enough memory for running Windows; however it was working
- fine (although slowly). Recently, Windows has stopped recognizing any
- memory at all above 640K. I have not changed the configuration or added
- any new programs so I'm not sure why Windows has stopped recognizing the
- additional memory.
-
- Please e-mail any advise and/or help to bdangelo@opal.tufts.edu. Thanks
- in advance.
