- Bah! How misleading! That "60K at its core" is the just the very core of
- the kernel (the current buzz-word is 'nano-kernel' :-). This is definitely
- one of those "yeah, so what" type values. No one can do squat with just
- that part of the kernel.

- Some guy from Microsoft (can't recall his name) gave a presentation about
- Windows NT on campus (UCB's :-) and is what quite fun watching Professor's
- of the likes of John Ousterhout tear the poor guy to shreds. :-) (Hmm...
- Could I be getting blood thirsty in my ripe old age? :-) Anyway, I came out
- with a couple of pages of things to laugh about but the most relevant one
- with this discussion is that their (MS) *goal* is to cut the minimum RAM
- requirements down to around 4 Mega-Bytes *for the system*. Geez.
