- I've uploaded a binary version of tinymush 2.0.9 to both tsx-11 and
- sunsite. Included are:
-
- tinymush 2.0.9 binaries and runtime text files.
- tinyfugue 2.0.b2 binaries and runtime text files.
-
- The original Linux binary version (2.0.8.p9) had a bug that would cause
- the database to be eaten if you added more than 1000 objects between
- reboots. Please discard the old version and use this one instead.
-
- tinymush-2.0.9-bin.tar.Z has been uploaded to:
- tsx-11.mit.edu:/incoming
- sunsite.unc.edu:/pub/Linux/Incoming
-
- This is a binary distribution of TinyMUSH 2.0.9 and TinyFugue 2.0.b2.
- Both work on Linux 0.98.1 with TCP built into the kernel.
-
- All programs were built with the jump table 4.1 libc and the 4.0 libm.
-
- Caution: make sure that the hostnames option is set to no in the netmush.conf
- file, or mush will hang for about a minute whenever anyone connects. For the
- same reson, use numeric IP addresses with tinyfugue. The included netmush.conf
- file already has this change. If the gethostbyname bug gets fixed (or you
- don't mind the wait) you can turn hostnames back on.
-
- Each connect generates two error entries in the log: 'NET/FAIL : (linger)'
- and 'setsockopt: Protocol not available'. Neither seems to affect the mush
- in any real way.
-
- tf was built to install into /usr/local/bin and /usr/local/lib, the tf_install
- script in the fugue-2.0.b2 directory does this.
-
- The source to tinymush is available on:
- caisr2.caisr.cwru.edu(129.22.24.22):/pub/mush
- primerd.prime.com(129.122.132.150):/pub/games/mud/tinymush
-
- The source to tinyfugue is available on:
- ferkel.ucsb.edu(128.111.72.60):/pub/mud/clients
- ftp.math.okstate.edu(139.78.10.6):/pub/muds/clients
- primerd.prime.com(129.122.132.150):/pub/games/mud/clients
-
- The only change needed to get tinyfugue to compile under Linux is to add
- -DSYSVTTY to FLAGS in the Makefile.
