  13. Rather than running a copy of MSDOS in an virual 8086, wouldn't it be 
  14. nice to have a free dos-like operating system that was capable of
  15. running DOS programs?

  17. Has anyone ever thought about writing such a thing? I guess it would
  18. be much easier that linux was to write. Is DOS sufficiently well 
  19. documented and understood for such a thing to be written?
