- Can't seem to find an answer to this one in the FAQ...
-
- Brief description of my problem: I configured my hard disk to have a 32M swap
- partition as /dev/hda2, did "mkswap /dev/hda2 32xxx", and then "swapon /dev/hda2".
- The mkswap said (sorry, i did all this at home and didn't write it all down...
- these are paraphrases) that 32M were configured, but the swapon said that
- 16M of swap were being added. free also says I only have 16M of swap.
-
- So my question is...can I have a swap partition bigger than 16M, or should I
- make the partition a minix filesys and add two swap files? Any thoughts
- gratefully accepted.
-
- Thanks,
- E

- PS Forgot to mench...I'm running the most recent SLS dist from tsx-11...I think
- that's got a 0.98p5 kernel, but don't hold me to that.
