- Since I didn't receive any responses to my previous post, I'll
- rephrase and repost :
-
- I've got ftp and telnet running on my network, albeit only with
- numeric IP addresses.
-
- I've been trying to get a nameserver running locally, but I can't
- get the contents of the named.* files right. The named daemon always
- boots with 'no root nameserver for class 1'. I've read all README and
- FAQ files, but they are somewhat confusing in places.
-
- Since I'd like to know whether I am doing something wrong or something
- is wrong with the tcp/ip package I would greatly appreciate somebody
- mailing or posting the named.* files for a simple 2-station isolated
- network with a local nameserver.
-
- Because it seems more people are struggliling with this, I'll post a
- summary of responses.
-
- Thanks.
