  12. I    I am a beginner of linux. I just tried to install linux .99 on my
  13. 486-Dx50 pc with 8 MB, ATI vgawonder XL24, one floppy and two IDE hard
  14. disk(130MB,203MB). I am not sure the manufacturer of the IDE controller.
  15. (Should be MAXTOR the HardDisks are MAXTOR).
  16.     After I tried. I succeed to boot up the system on the other machine
  17. with only one hard disk (the same config, but only one 130MB harddrive.)
  18. using a1 and a2 from SLS. But I failed to do so on my machine which has
  19. two hard drives.
  20.     It hangs after the following have been found by the system
  21. ttys0,ttys1,the microsoft mouse bus,the ATI inport mouse bus.
  22. It seems that the problem is due to the linux can't find the second
  23. IDE drive. Is it possible the IDE control card can't drive two hard
  24. drives? But it works well under dos.
  25.     Any suggestions or solutions please.
