- It's seems like such an odd discussion. Aren't we all
- anonymous? Do you have a clue who I am? Even after you
- finger me? How much do we ever know about anyone? Even
- after we meet them personally?

- And I'm pretty sure I could get an account on any public
- system with any name I wanted to use. All the easier on
- one of the free-nets or bbs.oit.unc.edu. When I signed
- up for the WELL, I don't think they did anything more
- than verify that my credit card number was valid.
