- I believe that NOTES (DECUServe) and NEWS serve two slightly different
- modes of dealing with the flow of information. Both are slightly
- difficient in my mind, but not having the time/$ to invent the "ultimate"
- solution - I suggest that NEWS to NOTEs and NOTES to NEWS gateways might be
- the best answer. I hear that DEC has such beasts inside and I have
- actually seen one work (well, sort of work - some important configuration
- information was apparently hard coded). Along with mail-based file servers
- for those who can't do FTP, this would seem to be the best of all worlds.
