  23. I had blown it in the conf.h file.  I had commented out the 2 hosts, put in
  24. one of my own, and for the second had put 0 (zero), evidently misreading the
  25. comment about setting the port for the second host to 0.  I fixed that and
  26. in 20 or so startups since then have not had a single fault.  Thanks for the
  27. pointer Ed.
