- Hello,
-
- I seem to be having problems using WAIS indexes. I want to index the
- subdirectory /usr/local/gopher-data/NRL Directives/SOPs. After cd'ing
- to this directory, I did the following:
-
- % mkdir .waisindex
- % waisindex -d .waisindex/index *
-
- And created the following .link file:
-
- Name=Search SOPs
- Type=7
- Path=7/NRL Directives/SOPs/.waisindex/index
- Host=+
- Port=+
- Numb=1
-
- But, when I tried using gopher to search this directory, I get the message:
-
- --> 1. Server error: Sorry, this isn't a WAIS index.
-
- I also noticed that "Search SOPs" was at the end of the menu for its directory,
- even though "Numb=1" was specified. When I did a waissearch on this directory,
- everything worked ok.
-
- What am I doing wrong?
