- It is one thing to have a video board that outputs at different resolutions
- and it is another thing to have a monitor that accepts the signals. The
- vertical sync frequency of the 8514/A monitor is 87 Hz interlaced (actual
- frame rate is 43.5 Hz). If you don't have a monitor that can accept this
- frequency, I believe you can have problems. Win Rosch in his PC Upgrade
- Bible says "When buying a monitor, the scanning fequency rule is simple.
- The frequencies generated by the display adapter in your PC must either
- match those at which your monitor id designed to operate or they must be
- within the range accepted by your multiscanning monitor."
