- A little trivial note on uuencode/decode. A colleague of mine in Brazil
- wanted to send binary files back and forth to me. As we are both IDRISI
- users, I sent him both uuencode/decode and the documentation for these
- programs as IDRISI files in ascii-integer file format with instructions
- in the comments section for their reformat as well. It appears that whenever
- an executable file needs to be sent (could work with any file too), it
- simply needs to be renamed to an IDRISI.img file and converted to ascii.
- Reconversion on the other end is easy. This is recommended for short files
- only, however. This method has been successful to both Brazil and the UK.
