- AAAAH! What lies have they been telling you??? :)
-
- V.32 is the 9600 standard.
- V.32bis is the 14400 standard.
-
- V.42 is error correction.
- V.42bis is mainly compression, theoretically up to 4x.
-
- V.32 = 9600
- V.42 = 14400
-
- V.32 + V.42bis = 9600 - 38400 (38400 = 9600 x 4)
- V.32bis + V.42bis = 14400 - 57600. (57600 = 14400 x 4)
