  19. I have two questions for some knowledgeable netters.

  21. 1. What kind of error control scheme does FTP protocol use ?, e.g.
  22. is it GO BACK N, SELECTIVE REPEAT ETC., also is there any FEC provided.

  24. 2. I need to transfer data long distance using modems connected to PCs at 
  25. both ends.  I would like to save on the telephone cost as much as possible.
  26. What package/protocol would you recommend ?
