  17. There is nothing wrong with your ZyXEL.  There is nothing wrong with
  18. your Multitech, either, nor with your Telebit.  The problem is that
  19. the Telebit T1000 does not support V.32; its only faster-than-2400
  20. modulation is Telebit PEP, which is only supported by certain Telebit
  21. modems.  (I think Ven-Tel once made a PEP modem as well, but I don't
  22. think it's being produced anymore.)
