- You can probably do what you want using SLIP. If you do need to connect
- two machines with a router, CMC makes a neat new product called "Nethopper"
- which contains an ethernet port and a 14.4kb modem that will let you connect
- two wires over a phone. It performs all the routing, and will dialup the
- phone only when there are packets to be routed, and disconnects the line
- after a user-defined "quiet" period. We use it here for our internet
- connection and it works very nicely. Costs about $1,900 each (need two).
