- In the 11-Nov-92 version of Michael A. Patton's "List of codes used
- on 802.3 and EtherNet networks" (available via anonymous FTP from
- ftp.lcs.mit.edu:pub/map/EtherNet-codes) the manufacturer for 00-60-8C
- is listed as "3COM (1990 onward)".
-
- This list is almost always more up to date than its counterpart
- in RFC 1340 as it is revised continuously rather than published
- periodically. Please noted that this two lists are both unofficial
- as the IEEE currently does not publish an official one. (They
- are working on it though.)
