  17.    Please note that you are describing CCITT Rec. T.6 encoding.  Group 4 is a 
  18.    protocol and terminal specification.  T.6 specifies a compression method
  19.    called MMR, Modified Modified READ.

  21.    Both Group 3 fax and Group 4 fax can use T.6 compression.  It is the default 
  22.    for G4 and an option for G3.

  24.    CCITT is now publishing their recommendations as separate publications.
