  15.     On the subject of RoboBBS...well, I work in a sales and service
  16. computer shop and one of our salesmen runs a BBS, and just happens to be
  17. running RoboBBS.  There's one other important feature that you need to
  18. know about besides the need for EGA/VGA...you also need to have a
  19. 16550 UART chip in your I/O card, or your connection won't be all that
  20. great, even if it's an MNP or V.xxbix connect.  And the user front-end
  21. will squak if you don't have that 16550 UART.

  23.     Now, on the other hand, if you have the VGA and the 16550 UART,
  24. it doesn't have too bad a thur-put even at 2400 baud.  That itself,
  25. is impressive for the interface.  If you've got a 9600 or 14.4k modem,
  26. you might think you're running something comparable to Windows. (No, I'm
  27. not kidding.)

  29.     If you're interested in seeing what it looks like, and have the
  30. equipment; you can call up "The Goose's Nest" in Kansas City, MO at
  31. (816) 221-NEST and have a look at the interface.  You will need to be
  32. able to download via ZModem to get the user front-end, though.  (QModem
  33. should be able to do that.)

  35.     Another think I'll add before I doddle off, RemoteAccess should be
  36. comming out with a similar product in a short while.  I.E. a month or
  37. two.  From what I understand, the maintanence is tough.  If RA can do the
  38. same thing and cut the maintanence down...
