  13. Here is a typical case of problems which on the surface would seem
  14. to be with the Garbo mail server, but which are factually email
  15. adressing path problems.  As I say in my Garbo instructions offer:

  17. "If you do not receive my reply within five days, please ask your
  18. own site's system manager to construct a returnable mail path for
  19. you".

  21. Thus, if you don't hear from me, that really means that your email
  22. bounces.  There is |ittle that we can do from this end that would
  23. solve such problems on a permanent basis, even if we might find a
  24. roundabout way to reply (but it would not help much in using the
  25. mail server).  Thus, it is your site's system manager or postmaster
  26. who should look at problems like this one.

  28. Like I indicated, Kenneth's message below demonstrates a typical
  29. case in the sense that since my reply to him bounced, there is
  30. nothing more I can currently do.  Even if I had the time to try, I
  31. don't have the postmaster management know-how.

  33. ONE VERY IMPORTANT POINT TO ALL MAILSERVER USERS!

  35. If you don't get any response to your mail server requests, under no
  36. circumstances keep sending the same request over and over again.  If
  37. you do, it may crash Garbo even if our tempermental lady has been
  38. more tolerant lately after being pampered with some additional
  39. memory.
