  18.         En el New York Times de ayer Domingo, en el articulo: "Clinton
  19. inherits Conflicts that don't follow rules," el periodista Friedman se
  20. refiere a la falta de "brujula" de la politica exterior de los Estados
  21. Unidos, cuando el enemigo sovietico ya no existe. Comenta un chiste que anda
  22. por los pasillos del Pentago, acerca del momento en que los Marines
  23. desembarcaron en Somalia la semana pasada:

  29. "The bad guys are the fat guys," his officer answered, "and the

  33. when Bill Clinton is inheriting the world- a moment when allies and
  34. enemies can no longer be defined by their status in the cold war, or

  36. of bizarre tribal, clan and weight designations that we must learn.

  38.         Lo mas increible de toda esta historia es el papel de la
  39. Television, especialmente las noticias de CNN; siguiendo paso a paso el
  40. desembarque de los Marines en Somalia. Las camaras y las luces los
  41. siguieron hasta Modagishu filmando como aseguraban el territorio. Antes del
  42. ultimo comercial sobre: "Kellog's dietetic Cereal", los Marines esperaron
  43. las camaras para continuar al proximo territorio por ocupar: Baidoa y
  44. acabar con los bandidos armados. Y nosotros muy comodamente sentados viendo la
  45. pelicula desde la casa.

  47.         Francamente, una ya no sabe si esta viendo la realidad o es otra
  48. pelicula de Terminator!!! Y esa vaina de pasar imagenes de cereales dieteticos
  49. mezcladas con imagenes de hambrientos Somalies, me parece increible.
