  22. Anti French sentiment in England may come from other sources:- (  :-)  )

  24. Brits, in their homeland, may have a general feeling of nausea for
  25. people who eat things like snails, pigs feet, frogs legs,... :-)

  27. I remember going into a French restaurant, looking for something
  28. "safe" to eat, knowing I would be crossing the channel within 2
  29. hours (I'm a landlubber!), deciding that the safest thing on the menu
  30. looked like ham omelette, and being served uncooked pork slice with a
  31. decidedly raw egg thrown over it. Uurrgghhh! I might not have made it
  32. to the ferry terminal if I'd eaten it. :-)

  34. As for "French" "breakfast" - typically stale, dry white french loaves
  35. and "bidet"s of sometimes re-heated coffee. Uurrgghhh again! :-)

  41. I wonder how many times the phrases "Bloody French Peasants!" and
  42. "Maudites touristes anglaises!" are muttered on French soil in an
  43. average summer? :-)

  45. Please don't misunderstand me. These comments are intended simply
  46. as a (hopefully) humerous diversion. I enjoy going to France. I
  47. have considered emigrating there.
