- Anyone thinking of relocating in Quebec should be aware that if they
- plan to have children in English school in Quebec they must apply for
- the children's "eligibility for instruction in English" certificates
- BEFORE obtaining permanent resident or landed immigrant status.
-
- Once it can no longer be proven that one is only a "temporary resident"
- in Quebec, one's children will be forced to attend French school here.
-
- It does not matter if your family has lived, worked and played and been
- educated in English for generations. Once your "temporary" status is no
- longer verifiable you will have less rights as an anglophone family
- in this province.
