- Not unless you can establish that your cross-postings are:
-
- 1) relevant to the topic and have some political content (these are political
- newsgroups, after all).
-
- 2) typical of the people who read and/or post to soc.motss and representative
- of the views of a majority of those posters (keeping in mind that you are
- among that number).
-
- 3) typical of the population of homosexuals at large and representative of
- the views of a majority of homosexuals.
-
- 4) say what you claim they say.
-
- Since you really can't meet any of those requirements, please don't bother
- re-posting the same old shit you've been posting for more than a year and
- a half. Your constant cross-posting from soc.motss reveals far more about
- you than it does about the people who post to soc.motss.
-
- and again....
- > It's the only characterization I can make of homosexuals, from reading
- > soc.motss.
-
- I've read soc.motss for the past two months, primarily because I was made
- curious by your characterization of the group. To put it politely, you
- are wrong. In the year and a half you've been accumulating cross-postings
- from soc.motss, I estimate that there have been *at least* 15,000 postings
- to soc.motss. Given that you cull that group assiduously for any question-
- able material you can use, the hundred or so postings in your collection
- can hardly be called "typical" by any reasonable definition of the word.
-
- I never cease to be amazed that you can read the postings of a couple of
- dozen people and decide that you are qualified to judge a population of
- several million homosexuals.
-
- I'm not going to continue reading soc.motss because I'm not particularly
- interested in the newsgroup. I just wanted to check for myself on how
- "vile and depraved" it is. I encourage everybody to spend half an hour and
- browse through the newsgroup. I suspect that you'll find Mr. Cramer's
- characterization incorrect.
