  27. I had a problem with my 486/50 booting very slowly, and it went away when 
  28. I turned the BIOS shadowing OFF.

  30. It was probably a BIOS bug of some kind, and not relevant to your 
  31. situation, but you could try turning shadowing off and eliminate another 
  32. possibility.
