  13. I created an account today with eight characters on two machines
  14. with an eithernet connection. Using rlogin from one machine to
  15. the other the login fails the first time.

  17. I then created an account on both machines with seven characters
  18. and rlogin was able to login on the remote machine the first time.

  20. I do not have this problem logging into the machine directly from
  21. a terminal.

  23. I use the rlogin program at the end of .profile ie rlogin machine 
  24. -l accountname

  26. Before I assume this is a bug, has someone else seen this problem
  27. arise ? - I don't have the version number of the ftp handy but
  28. it is a early release.
