  19.    You can fine-tune things on the host adapter: we've been discussing the bus 
  20. master DMA rate, and someone recently mentioned using a jumper to tell the 
  21. adapter that it should try to negotiate a synchronous transfer (something I 
  22. just set on a 1542B today, but it didn't help because the Conner 3100F didn't 
  23. co-operate).

  29.    I have not seen anything on an Adaptec 1542A, 1522, or 1542B that set the 
  30. speed of the SCSI transfers (short of the synchronous negotiation enable).  
  31. I'd be interested in seeing any such info for any host adapter...
