-
- I think the panhandle is in Texas. One of the tenetters
- should be able to clear this up. Isn't it particularly desolate?
-
-
- > "Indians in heel-worn cowboy boots": what does "heel-worn" mean here?
-
- Cowboy boots generally have an inch or two of heel on them to
- keep the foot in the stirrup more easily. Heel-worn would indicate
- they're pretty old boots and that the wearers did more walking than
- riding in them.

-
- Sounds like Vietnam terminology for a foxhole to me.

- Euphenism for fucking?
-
-
- > "A cop on the pad": a corrupt cop?
-
- Hmm. Context would be important here... the only other
- alternative would be that it's similar to the slang "being on the
- rag." In other words, cranky cuz the cop has his/her period. (Where
- period is just slang for being in a pissy mood and doesn't have much
- to do with biological functions).

-
- Tiny round bullets the size of a pea used in toy BB guns.
- They're usually made of steel or copper. It takes genious to actually
- kill anything with a BB gun, but the the buggers sting and will leave
- a respectable bruise if you are hit by one. It's a starter gun for
- young boys.

-
- Busting his balls?
-
-
- > Vick's VapoRub: what revolting product is this?
-
- It's a mentholated rub for relieving stuffiness due to colds.
- It has a petroleum jelly base, so it is kind of slimey and unpleasant
- when you rub it on your chest or under your nose, so it is mostly
- inflicted on kids and adults seldom use it on themselves. It works
- pretty good.
