- Betcha. Kevin Costner had about as much business playing Robin Hood
- as I have singing anyplace other than in my shower. Alan Rickman's
- performance as the Sheriff, however, should be shown in acting classes
- as an example of how to get away with being totally outrageous and
- "high key," provided you have enough TALENT. My kids were
- disappointed Robin Hood won the fight at the end, and so was I, even
- though we knew what the outcome had to be: Rickman's Sheriff was, of
- course, the ultimate in Political Incorrectness. Maybe the Sheriff
- also has the better role to start with: this, then, can reopen a
- discussion of the concept that Evil is more attractive than Good, that
- Satan is really the hero of Paradise Lost, and
- that...yawwwwwwn...<ZZZZZZ>.
