- Yes, there's *nothing* a mom likes better than answering questions like
- that while simultaneously fighting the 5 o'clock traffic. I don't
- remember how I answered that one, either, but I remember the one I really
- messed up on...the one about whether there really is a Santa Claus.
- Thinking Susan was ready to give up believing in Santa Claus, I sailed into
- one of those sweet little speeches about Santa Claus being the spirit of love,
- etc., etc., only to be greeted by wails of anguish from the back seat
- ...what she wanted was reassurance, not confirmation. That day lives in
- infamy in our family as the "day Mom ruined Christmas."
