  13. I join you in your concern.  The people of
  14. Slovakia have not had independence in the past,
  15. and possess two of the "modern devils" of
  16. politics.  First, they were a fascist state
  17. aligned with Axis during WW II.  Then, they
  18. inherited an equally ambitious poitical
  19. Nomenklatura under the Communists.
  20.  
  21. With such a poor international reputation,
  22. compounded by a lack of economic and
  23. manufacturing infrastructure, what will become
  24. of this agrarian nation?
  25.  
  26. What will become of key issues, such as the
  27. Danube river dams, oppression of ethnic
  28. hungarians, and the nuclear reactor at Jaslovske
  29. Bohunice?
  30.  
  31. How did you teach in Czechoslovakia? Were one
  32. curious in such opportunites, say teaching
  33. computer programming and does speak Czech and
  34. German - what kinds of opportunites could be
  35. afforded?
