- SUBJECT: Specifying character-dim's for PS-devices using PROC GDEVICE
- PLATFORM: SAS 6.07 on VMS
- PRODUCT: SAS/Graph, PROC GDEVICE
-
- Recently we required a new PostScript - printer (our first COLOR printer!!).
-
- I have tried the PSCOLOR device driver which gives good results.
- (The Gprolog en Gepilog strings were missing for our HP-printer, but I copied
- them from the B&W HP-PS drivers).
-
- One problem remained however. Using a PS-printer, one wants to use the PS-fonts
- as well. SAS/Graph insists on transforming the fonts, making them much too high.
-
-
- The problem lies in the character cell that gets defined.
- When I add an OPTIONS statement to my job giving a VPOS and a HPOS that together
-
- with the current HSIZE and VSIZE give a square character cell (number of pixels
- in X and Y direction equal) I get untransformed PS-fonts.
- But I want to define that in the entry in the device-catalog. The values for
- Prows and Pcols are dutifully changed, but when I run PROC GTESTIT nothing
- reflects those changes.
-
- Anybody experience here??
