  13. And the same old cliche again, "if homosexuals, why not murderers,
  14. adulterers, etc."  It is amazing (also comforting) that anti-homosexual
  15. people can never come up with better analogies.  They always have to
  16. put homosexuality (which is an act between CONSENTING adults and has no
  17. tangible victims) with other acts which are known to hurt third parties
  18. and often lack consent.

  21. The cliche happens to fit.  The activities you cite have a common thread,
  22. immorality.  Maybe you'll be more comfortable with a comparison to
  23. consenting adults making a crack cocaine transaction.  There have been
  24. numerous discussions on this list proclaiming laws against drugs as
  25. misguided.  Some have even claimed drugs to be victimless.  I do not agree
  26. with either of those conclusions.  From your position on homosexuality, I
  27. take it that you agree with both.

  29. As far as having no *tangible* victims, what of intestinal parasites,
  30. perforated rectum, and extremely high risk of AIDS?  Are we to count
  31. these as, no doubt Sam does, *extra* blessings from God?

  33. BTW, Who cares what Aspen decided?  The vote was a *state* decision.
  34. Are you opposed to democracy all the time, or just when the results
  35. are not to your liking?
