- Sure, on the free market value of money usually fluctuates measured in units
- of merchandise. And vice versa.

- "standard" means that paper is backed by underlying metal.

- Today, dollars are backed by the gov't authority and good will, nothing else.
- Today it may be enough, tomorrow maybe not.
