- Starting January 1, 1993 if you are stopped for suspicion of drunk
- driving your license can be pulled on the spot by the arresting officer.
- I don't have any experience with this particular crime but I once
- received a ticket for failure to yeild right of way from an officer who
- failed to pursue the fact that the woman who hit me had no driver's
- license or insurance for her vehicle. I live in a border city and the
- state across the river doesn't require insurance and the woman had her
- car licensed there although she gave a Nebraska address. Are police
- officers properly trained to make this kind of a judgement call? Is this
- outside of their scope of responsibility? Makes me feel like guilty until
- proven innocent. There seems to be a lot of that going on these days.
