  14.      I have just installed a package called "Cross Connect" and I am using it
  15. for dialout access.  The package supports both dialin/dialout and can be used
  16. on a 80286 PC or better.  It can be run in the background on a nondedicated
  17. PC to allow access out of the network or access to the network, by taking
  18. control of the PC on the network(obviously not background operation for
  19. dialin).
  20.      We use the software to pool three internal modems in a dedicated PS/2
  21. model 80 and allow network users access to the modems from the network for
  22. dialout purposes.  This is a fairly simple package and works with other
  23. communications software and was easy to install.  The price is very
  24. reasonable at $495.00 US.  I also understand that the company is in the
  25. process of releasing a new and improved version of the software. See the
  26. November 23, 1992 of LAN Times for a review of the product on page 102. Hope
  27. this is of some help, facts follow.
