  17.         When checking out a 3.11 server, I noticed that autoexec.ncf
  18. loads 3c503 and binds ipx to it with these lines:
  19. load 3c503 port=300 mem=dc000 int=3 frame=ethernet_ii
  20. bind IPX to 3c503 [port=300 mem=dc000 int=3 frame=ethernet_ii} net=102
  21.  
  22. with no other network cards installed and no other ipx bindings in autoexec.ncf
  23.  
  24. but the network information for the server lists this for the card:
  25. 3c503 [port=300 port=700 mem=dc000 int=3 frame=ethernet_ii]
  26.  
  27. and I have absolutely no idea where the port=700 is coming from.
  28.  
  29. a) since we are experiencing severe slowdowns on this server with workstations
  30.         having 3c503 boards, I wonder if this might have anything to do with it
  31.  
  32. b) Where did that extra port setting come from??
