  20. Has anyone experienced any problems with Cheyenne Arcserve version 4.0.
  21. I am trying to backup a RM 486 E Series Netware 3.11 File Server, with limited
  22. success. When tyring to do an unattended backup, half the SYS volume is backed
  23. up, and then the backup stops and reports the error,
  24.  
  25.      Daemon write error - Hardware error
  26.      [TD] Controller error - -2
  27.  
  28. This is reported in the Administration , Activity Log.
  29. I also get the following error on the File Server console:

  31.      Failed to Allocate Buffer from Tape Driver
  32.  
  33. If I try an Attended Backup, sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't.
  34. I am using a WangDAT model 1300 DDS DAT Tape Drive, UltraStor Ultra 24 EISA
  35. SCSI Host Adapter software, Adaptec 1740 software for the tape driver software
  36. with 6 I/O Buffers.
