- Has anyone experienced any problems with Cheyenne Arcserve version 4.0.
- I am trying to backup a RM 486 E Series Netware 3.11 File Server, with limited
- success. When tyring to do an unattended backup, half the SYS volume is backed
- up, and then the backup stops and reports the error,
-
- Daemon write error - Hardware error
- [TD] Controller error - -2
-
- This is reported in the Administration , Activity Log.
- I also get the following error on the File Server console:
-
- Failed to Allocate Buffer from Tape Driver
-
- If I try an Attended Backup, sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't.
- I am using a WangDAT model 1300 DDS DAT Tape Drive, UltraStor Ultra 24 EISA
- SCSI Host Adapter software, Adaptec 1740 software for the tape driver software
- with 6 I/O Buffers.
-
- Any advice would be gladly received.
-
- Thank you in anticipation.
