  15. Recently I have deleted a whole batch of mideur-l messages headed with a
  16. "books and films" subject line, as the first few exchanges on that topic
  17. didn't interest me.  Now I see that people are discussing other issues
  18. altogether under that "subject", some of which DO in fact interest me.
  19.  
  20. I'd like to ask contributors to the list to put appropriate subject lines
  21. on their messages.   I realize it is easier to simply use "Answer" or
  22. "Reply" than to type out the list address and enter a subject line, but it
  23. isn't consistent with the principle of honestly advertising your
  24. contribution.
  25.  
  26. Many of us get so many messages every day that we use subject line
  27. information to decide whether to read or delete a message.
  28.
