  15. Yes George, you put your finger on it: hate is four letter word, but
  16. when it comes to nations and cultures where hate is so much a part of
  17. national or cultural or clan habit where membership is often defined by
  18. ones ability to practice the cultural norms how does one break the cycle?
  19.  
  20. There are examples of individuals breaking the cycle of hate.  Many in
  21. eastern Europe have done so over the past 50 years re. the USSR.  But
  22. have nations, ethnic groups, or clans been equally successfull?  History
  23. is full of the failures of such attempts.
