  18.       I have just seen Betsy Moon's comment about doing away with their
  19.       Se-lin machine.

  21.       For some time, we have been using the Se-lin label stock in one of
  22.       the pre-sized sheet formats or a Se-lin clone version of it.  We
  23.       have found it a much less stressful alternative than the roll
  24.       format, although it is said that sheets are better for lower
  25.       quantity amounts.  We never tried the "improved" version.  I think
  26.       that those of us who have kept with this product have done so
  27.       because it seems to be the "toughest thing going" among other
  28.       reasons.

  30.       I have been talking for a good part of this year (off-and-on) with
  31.       Gaylords' customer sersvice Se-lin specialist.  Recently, she
  32.       informed me that in the first half of 93, they will be offering
  33.       the Se-lin product on pin-feed stock, to accomodate more libraries
  34.       having more automated systems.  I have received a couple of
  35.       pre-production samples, which have the sheet version on pin-feed
  36.       backing in rows of 2 and 4 labels.  Like the sheet version, the
  37.       cover acetates are separate.

  39.       However, I have not heard that they will be offering label sets
  40.       that would offer both the Se-lin label, with a coard and/or pocket
  41.       label on one sheet.  Maybe this will also be forthcoming, or maybe
  42.       they will continue with their separate pocket/labels on pin-feed
  43.       to be used with their software.  That however, seems a little
  44.       cumbersome.

  46.       Gaylord might appreciate the input from Se-lin users. (Or they;
  47.       might not).  Give them a call, and express your wants, neets,
  48.       desires and maybe urge them to promote more versitile label
  49.       format designs or a complete package which could attract more
  50.       cataloging departments back to their product.
