- I rented out these two and here are my thoughts:
-
- I don't quite understand why _Lawnmower Man_ caught
- so much heat on this list. I enjoyed it. Granted,
- it's not like it's going to win an Academy Award for
- anything (cept maybe some type of special effects or
- something), but I thought it moved at a pretty good
- clip, wasn't extremely violent, and I found the "look"
- of the special effects and all pretty interesting.
- In a way it reminded me quite a bit of _Silver Bullit_.
- Short, light entertainment. Again, maybe my easy going
- attitude has to do with low expectations and the dollar
- rental charge. I'm sure I would be whistling quite
- a different tune at $5.00 a note.
-
- However...
-
- I also rented Article 99 for a buck and a feel quite
- comfortable in saying that it was quite lame.
- You've got to put your reality check on BIG TIME
- hold, and be able to enjoy predictable, one dimension
- characters, do predictable, one dimension things, throughout
- a predictable one dimension story line. The good guys
- are oh so good, and the bad guys are oh so bad.
- Couldn't believe the likes of Ray Liota, Eli Wallach,
- Forrest Whitaker, and Keifer Sutherland were in this.
- Well, Keifer Sutherland yes, but the rest no.
- Matter of fact, the more I think about it, the more
- I hate it. A MASH/Born on the 4th of July wanna be.
