- My favorite elevator scene (on screen) is Ingmar Bergman's marital
- reconciliation between Eva Dahlbeck and Gunnar Bjornstrand in WAITING
- WOMEN. I recall that this couple had been too busy to even talk to each
- other for years but when they're trapped in an elevator there's nothing
- else to do but talk and sex. I especially liked it that they were middle
- aged people.
-
- My favorite elevator scene (off screen) is the maybe apocryphal tale of
- Alfred Hitchcock, who was supposed to be in the habit of turning "on" and
- "off" juicy stories of murders when he got into elevators with someone he
- knew.
