  13. Anyone have the scoop on The Space Negros' _The Space Negros Do Generic Ethnic
  14. Muzak [tm] Versions of all Your Favorite Punk/Psychedelic Songs from the Sixtie
  15. s_ ?  Bloom, as you probably know, this is a Cambridge band.  Is this any good?
  16. The title itself is quite intriguing.  It's on the Arf Arf label.

  18. And what about Hal Russell's _Hal's Bells_ (ECM)? It's described as a "nod to A
  19. lbert Eyler by the late multi-instrumentalist."  I know there was a lot of talk
  20.  about Eyler a bit back.  Surely, this might interest Sonia.

  22. Disagree respectfully (but vehemently) with whoever ranked Albert King *below*
  23. the other Kings in terms of guitar work.  For my money --what there is of it--
  24. I'd take Albert *any* day.

  26. Didn't see the name of Giuliani in the list of interesting/essential works for
  27. guitar.  He's one of my favorites.

  29. Novel use for broken 78s: a creative soul took shards of the edges of broken
  30. 78s, wrapped them with fine golden chicken wire, hung little glass beads from t
  31. hem, and fashioned them as pendants to be worn on labels.  It really took me
  32. a while to figure out what the dark rounded things were -- until I got close an
  33. d actually saw the grooves.  (Perhaps they were left over from the Great 78
  34. Massacre committed by Sonia's mother? ;-) )

  36. Been listening a lot to Elmore James box set on Capricorn.  It's truly marvelou
  37. s.  I'll try to post something on it for year's end.  Will probably be my last
  38. post in quite a while. :(
