  11. PROTEIN CRYSTALLOGRAPHY OPENINGS AT HOFFMANN-LAROCHE, NUTLEY, NJ, USA

  13. We currently have opportunities for a Senior Scientist and an Associate
  14. Scientist to perform research leading to novel pharmaceutical agents based on
  15. the three-dimensional structures of proteins. 
  16.  
  17. Specific responsibilities include solving structures of relevant proteins such
  18. as receptor-ligand complexes, cell adhesion molecules and a variety of enzymes;
  19. and contributing to the analysis of these structures and their exploitation for
  20. drug design.  In addition, these Scientists will join a dynamic Macromolecular
  21. Structure Group which includes laboratories in protein crystallography;
  22. biomolecular NMR; protein expression, purification and characterization; and
  23. molecular modeling.

  25. Qualifications for the SENIOR SCIENTIST include a PhD in Biochemistry or a
  26. related field, broad experience in all areas of macromolecular crystallography,
  27. knowledge of protein structure and function, and the ability to perform
  28. collaborative research.  Postdoctoral experience is highly desirable. RESPOND

  31. Qualifications for the Associate Scientist include a BS/MS in Biochemistry/
  32. Chemistry, biochemical skills and experience with proteins. Experience in
